Join us in a collective prayer in the Mayan tradition of creating a Sacred Fire as our beloved elder from Guatemala, Nana Wilma, returns to the hill at Rootstock.
Nana Wilma brings Sacred Fire Ceremonies so that we can develop a respectful and loving relationship with the elements. Fire Ceremonies are a way of connecting with and celebrating life, our ancestors, the spirit realm, and our hopes and dreams.
Through these ceremonies, we can receive healing, give gratitude, and offer our prayers. We will build the fire together with prayers, and a mandala will be created out of dried herbs, candles, and other natural materials, including incenses, to create beauty and a sacred space. All participants are asked to bring an offering for the fire to add their own gift into our ceremony. A list of what is needed will be sent after registration. The more offerings that can be given for the fire brings more blessings for ourselves, our families, the earth, and all our relations.
