Hi! I’m Beana

I’m a landwife, a childless mother, and a transformational medicine guide for people ready to come home to their authenticity, reclaim their inner authority, and live well in their bodies and on this Earth. My alchemical work blends the power of a laser-sharp intuition, Earth Medicine, elemental forces, and polarity to deliver profound healing. My unique combination of medicine work, somatic exploration, mythopoetic translation, and elemental healing empower my clients to step into their authenticity, regulate their nervous systems, surf the highs and lows of life with grace and imagination, and remove the obstacles between them and love.

Through my signature offering the Medicine Retreat, I’ve guided 850+ people to heal their depression, anxiety, overwhelm, existential dread, OCD, PTSD, fear of death, fear of success, and reclaim their healthy essence - teaching them how to decondition patterns of behaviors and reflexes that were instilled during childhood and re-relate to the mundane magic of life in a body on Planet Earth.

Men, women, and trans folks ranging in age from 18-88 from all over the USA and world have made their way to my magical hill in Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom to experience the one-of-a-kind magic of Rootstock, the place and temple and homestead that holds, informs, and amplifies the work I offer.  Anchored by earth temples, gardens, a wood-fired bathhouse, and the rugged beauty of the Northern forest, the hill is a co-conspirator in all of what I offer.

Over the past decade, I’ve built a world class mushroom temple, co-authored a best selling microdosoing course and led four years of sold out immersions as a microdosing mentor, coached thousands of people across the globe on how to reclaim authenticity and restore inner authority, facilitated thousands of hours of psychedelic preparation and integration sessions, facilitated hundreds of community gatherings, studied the art and mechanics of living in community, managed a small homestead, and led over a thousand retreats at Rootstock and beyond.

At the core of all my work is this truth: when you’re rooted in your authenticity, you can trust your life, your intuition, and let your life rise up to meet you.

You are your wisest teacher and most reliable guide and when you choose to live from that deep center of your being, you can live like your life depends on it!

SPEAKING TOPICS

  • Therapeutic Psilocybin Sessions & Healing with Psychedelics

The anatomy of the mushroom journey, best-practices for truly transformative work, reciprocity and how to relate to Earth Medicine, “bad trips” and how fear can be a powerful catalyst for change, resistance and disappointment in therapeutic sessions, preparation and integration, somatic healing, ancestral healing, rites of passage and initiation, End of Life and Terminal Illness and Psychedelics, and how to work with the medicine without asking the medicine to do the work for you.

  • Microdosing Psilocybin & the Power of a Slow Medicine

My approach to microdosing is one of the most effective and honest protocols currently available. Preparation and groundwork to ensure a healthy practice, how to live well OFF the medicine, energetic and homeopathic practice, working with psilocybin as a relationship rather than a productivity hack or quick fix, seasonal and cyclical practice, self-inquiry and integration, and learning to listen to what the medicine is revealing without becoming dependent on the medicine to create the change.

  • Guideship, Space Holding, & the Ethics and Art of Facilitating Profound (& Radically Safe!!) Transformational Sessions

As a “guide's guide,” I love talking about what it actually means to accompany another human being through profound transformation. Certification and trainings vs. lived experience and apprenticeship, being the one who is held before becoming the one who holds, preparation and integration, curating containers, somatics and nervous system literacy, discernment, boundaries, projection and transference, knowing when to intervene and when to get out of the way, and the humility and ongoing self-reflection required to stay in right relationship with this work.

  • Earth Medicine, Elemental Healing, and the Holy Work of a Modern Landwife & Temple Priestess

Building a temple, building a practice, building a business, building a community and then doing the mundane and devotional work of sweeping the floors and staying in practice with the practice. Place-based practice, land as medicine, elemental healing, reciprocity with the living world, tending home and land as spiritual practice, and remembering that healing does not only happen inside of a ceremony or with a psychedelic in your body.

  • The Business of Guideship and Staying in Right Relationship with The Work

Late stage capitalism being what it is…. how do we make a living doing sacred work without turning sacred work into a commodity? Money, power, access and reciprocity in healing spaces, charging for our work without confusing price with value, building a sustainable practice without exploiting ourselves or the people we serve, burnout and over-giving, boundaries and right relationship, keeping your mirror clean, and staying accountable to The Work as a practice becomes a livelihood

  • Community-Building, Imagination Farming, and Staying Well & Resilient In Service

What does it actually take to build the kinds of communities and culture we say we want to live inside? Imagination farming, community weaving, tending relationships over time, ritual and gathering, belonging without sameness, navigating rupture and repair, staying human inside of leadership, resilience and burnout, service without martyrdom, play and pleasure as essential medicine, and creating spaces where people can practice being more authentic, more connected, more courageous and more alive.
